Greetings all;

Working on a wrapper for G33 to make it a lot more universal, a sort of
fill in the blanks and go do it thing, to both bore to a starting taper
for a tapered thread, either internal or external. I need it ATM to
make a shaft extension for one of those teeny ball screws I bought from
Steve Stallings quite some time back, so it will extend into the
crossfeed dial on this 11x36 Sheldon. A tighten the nut to compress the
fingers of a socket onto the end of the screw, its worked well for a
couple years in my expanded table HF Micro-mill. No slippage.

My fadeing mind can't come up with a code snippet that does the graduated
reduction in the depth of cut as the tool is directed to cut deeper.
Spring passes and all. Like G76 does it.

So can I borrow what does that in the G76 routine, and if so, where can I
get it by itself w/o having to pull the sources for all of it.

If I can get this polished up enough, I'd like to put it in the wiki as I
think it could be a handy addition to our "toolkit".

Cheers, Gene Heskett
