I may give a VM a try. I installed the image to my computer on a new 
partition. I had it set up grub when I did the install. Grub does not 
load. Windows 10 is the only boot option. In bios I only have the 
windows boot option or boot from cd-dvd drive as options. No option for 
booting to the debian installation.

I will keep trying to figure this out but the VM thing does sound like a 
better option.

Can the VM access the partion that I have already installed to an run 
with it?

I will keep poking around trying to figure this out.
