I've seen a few attempts at converting to Python 3, dunno what the results ended up being. Sounds like a good brain challenge for me early in the morning when I'm sipping on my coffee, I'll see if I can get a branch off of master to run python 3.

By "dead" on 1-1-20 do you mean they will turn Python off? I have Debian 10 on this PC and 2.7.16 is still the default Python...

One thing I've noticed is Debian 10 has dropped some libraries that are used in some of the GUI's, I don't know if the authors are working on that or not, for me I just don't use them and remove the dependency.

We seem to be a loosely knit group of time challenged folks as of late...

I'm still running Ubuntu 10.04 on my Hardinge lathe...

Greetings all;

Touring the buildbot. looking for the beginnings of a debian buster
setup, there is none. I was, or am about to do a buster-10.1 netinstall
to one of my wintel boxes. But that came to a sudden halt when I found
nothing later than stretch on the buildbot. 3 months after buster is
out, and stretch is out or nearly out of support. And python-2.7 is dead
on jan 1 2020.

Can you share your future direction?

Thanks.
