I have just did the deb-build thing before I saw this, and wonder how to
back this out. I know just enough git to scare you folks.

My symptoms are, from very limited testing on an rpi4, built on the rpi4:

Notes X is and has been for a long time on stepgen.03 because 1 and 2 are
blown, been running crossed up for at least 2 years. Z has been moved
back to stepgen.00 for that same 2 years. When it was found that one of
my 3 7i90's still had a good stepgen.00.

But today, after doing a fresh pull and error free build, I find my
sheldons z jog is backwards. So I can't home it as it runs into the head
housing for 3 or 4 seconds while I've danced about 20 times on the esc
key, very very slow response.

And, a single edge from the encoder, by turning the spindle a degree or
so is an instant black screen x reboot which it has to do twice to get a
full from scratch reboot, the first boot attempts to finish the job, but
somehow turns the spindle 5 to 10 degrees and crashes it to a black
screen for a 2nd full system clean reboot.

And about half the time, after a clean reboot, it still times out loading
trivkins, but it always seems to work the second time. Until the
spindle moves at which point it's another wash, rinse and repeat the
crashing.

When it misses trivkins, it also fusses about a missing spi_bcm2835,
which I've never seen before.

So my problems seem related to this.

So how do I back out that commit mentioned above. Or can you Ari, and
I'll pull it again tomorrow.

Thanks.

Cheers, Gene Heskett
