I "sorta" found them Jon, pin prefix is ini. But shouldn't that be a
parameter??? My ancient wet ram calls anything involving a setp a
parameter. But I don't have a setp in a .hal file calling in an AXIS_l
or JOINT_n MIN_ or MAX_LIMIT either.

But if an axis is driven past a soft limit, motion.on.soft-limit (I
think) should go true, and its not on the armhf, crashing into the
mechanical end of travel instead. But let me sneak out and check the
6040 & GO704. brb. Checked both the 6040 and the GO704, soft limits
are working although motion.in.soft-limit is not registering on any
machine. I think I have a problem on the rpi4. But, why is it not
registering at motion.on.soft-limit on any machine even if its
working??? Somethings aglay...

Is there an exedrin headache number for this? ;)
