I deleted all the files in .local/share/applications related to LinuxCNC
but either I missed one or one got installed I'll have to check.
In any case now all the menu items are in Other.
Is the released version a deb I can install with gdebi or are you
talking about the linuxcnc-2.8.0-buster.iso?

This shouldn't be necessary, we are backporting python-gtksourceview2
on the LinuxCNC repo.
sudo apt install linuxcnc-uspace
Interesting there are some mozo-made-n.desktop files in
~/.local/share/applications which look to be the old files.
Can you delete the ones in ~/.local ? LinuxCNC should be installing
them in /usr/share.
And I still need to know if the problem is with buildbot only, or with
the released version too.
