> If I ever travel again. That makes two of us, until this wuhan flu shit hit, I had visions of starting a new carear, tuning towers for AM broadcasters. Its damned near a lost art today as all the old BC engineers that knew how, have all died of old age or stuff that goes with it, and many stations have modified their towers without retuning either because they couldn't afford it, or couldn't find anybody who knew how, leading to lots of bitchy and expensive tramsmitter failures they don't need, caused by the VSWR. I've bought some gear that will draw me a new smith chart in 2 or 3 minutes, but using it puts me in a doghouse at the bottom of the tower. And good weather, no static charge in the air. And that will mean travel all over the country, a heck of a lot more real estate than your home Isles. And at 86, I'm not in that great a condition myself. I can do it today, but for how long? So take care and stay well Andy. Cheers, Gene Heskett -- "There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo.
