You might know me as the one behind adding a translation framework to the LinuxCNC documentation to allow the various languages to stay in sync with the English edition.
I've been a free software developer for many years, and know how important it is to have regular meetings within a project, and find that real world meetings is the most efficient way to motivate and inspire progress in a free software project like LinuxCNC. Because of this a friend of mine and I would like to invite you to a LinuxCNC workshop in Norway this summer for the weekend starting June 16th. I suggest to organize it as an unconference, <URL: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unconference >, where the participants create the program upon arrival. The location is a metal workshop 15 minutes drive away from to the Gardermoen airport (OSL), where there is a lot of space and a hotel only 5 minutes away by car. We plan to fire up the barbeque in the evenings. Please let us know if you would like to join. We track the list of participants on <URL: https://pad.efn.no/p/linuxcnc-2023-norway >. The Norwegian Unix Users Group, <URL: https://www.nuug.no/ > has on my request offered to handle any money involved with this gathering, in other words holding any sponsor funds and paying any bills. NUUG is a member organisation here in Norway with long ties to the free software and open standards communities. I hope we can find some sponsor to pay for food and lodging. PS: I am not subscribed to the mailing list, please keep me on CC for any replies. -- Happy hacking Petter Reinholdtsen _______________________________________________ Emc-developers mailing list Emc-developers@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-developers
