Here is a small update on the LinuxCNC developer gathering in Norway. So far four people with commit access to the git repository have confirmed their attendance, but there is room for more. The idea is still to organize a LinuxCNC workshop in Norway this summer for the weekend starting June 16th, organized as an unconference, <URL: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unconference >, where the participants create the program upon arrival.
The location is a metal workshop 15 minutes drive away from to the Gardermoen airport (OSL), where there is a lot of space and a hotel only 5 minutes away by car. We plan to fire up the barbeque in the evenings. Please let us know if you would like to join. We track the list of participants on <URL: https://pad.efn.no/p/linuxcnc-2023-norway >. There has been a small change of plans regarding money handling. For practical reasons the NUUG Foundation voluteered to handle any money involved instead of NUUG (same person doing the accounting, just easier for him to do it thi sway). We have received sponsoring from NUUG Foundation (NOK 5k), Debian (EUR 1k) and Redpill Linpro (NOK 10k), and can cover reasonable travel and lodging cost within budget. Get in touch with us to verify that there is still room in the budget if you want travel and lodging expenses reimbursed. I am easiest to reach on IRC and Signal.org.
