Hello everybody,

I finally have the Gentoo image uploaded and it's installer updated.

Instructions:

https://openlunchbox.com/mw19/index.php/HOWTO:_Gentoo_for_LinuxCNC

If you wish to install it from a Debian system, you can skip the SystemRescue
steps and start here:

https://openlunchbox.com/mw19/index.php/HOWTO:_Gentoo_for_LinuxCNC#Fetching_the_installer

Just make sure you have `b3sum` installed as that is what's required to check
the image's integrity. It's extremely fast and much quicker than SHA.

The AXIS GUI does not work, nor QtDragon as Gentoo is removing support for Qt5.
gmoccapy, FlexGUI and sim lathe all work, maybe a few others.

If you're able to fix this issue:

https://github.com/LinuxCNC/linuxcnc/issues/3205

Please let me know what the problem is and how you got AXIS running. If you run
into any bugs, please let me know.

If you need AXIS, then what you can do is build LinuxCNC as a run-in-place
install, and do not install LinuxCNC through portage/emerge.

I am going to write a LinuxCNC RIP (run-in-place) build script as well, in case
compiling LinuxCNC is too complicated for some users. For some unknown reason,
the AXIS interface only works in a RIP environment. I'm hoping someone here can
help me track down what the issue is.

Alec
