Hello good emc-pstc people: I have a question about line isolation transformers for consumer audio products. We are a transformer manufacturer, but the vast majority of our applications are for ITE equipment. My question is,
1) for UL & CSA approvals, what standard does an isolation transformer need to meet for consumer and professional audio products? I am currently referring to UL 1411 "Transformers and Motor Transformers for Use in Audio-, Radio-, and Television-Type Appliances". I want to make sure that this is the correct standard, i.e. is it the most current standard? What about for CSA? 2) for that matter, what about Europe?
