Mike Rains asks about treating a component power supply as a component. I believe he means treating it as a component under Sub-clause 5.4.6, third dash, which specifies faults in ALL components if a fire enclosure is not employed. If you read the requirements carefully, this particular sub-clause only applies to secondary circuits. The standard, reading between the lines, requires primary circuits to be in a fire enclosure.
