Their primary focus is safety testing and approval of household electrical and electronic equipment and controls used in household applications in the UK. They typically use BSI and/or EN standards - sometimes IEC. Testing is often performed by a third party laboratory and evaluated by BEAB. They are CB Scheme and CCA participants. Good luck with them. I have personally found them very picky about things - particularly on factory surveilance. Seems like their inspector nearly always finds something that requires more testing, report changes, etc. - and of course more money. Don't know if most other people have had the same experience.
