There was a CENELEC document "Information on the links between Products, Directives and Standards in the Electrotechnical Field" issue 1 May 1996 (cost about 125ukp/190usd). This has 3 sections which cross-reference "Directive-Product-Standard" and "Standard-Product-Directive" and "Product-Standard-Directive".
According to this document EN60255 exists but is not "harmonised" (published in OJ) and hence is not directly related to a specific Directive, e.g. EMC or LVD (yet). This document has just been superceded by "The New Approach - Legislation and Standards on the Free Movement of Goods in Europe, 1997" - ISBN 92-9097-564-4, CENELEC order ref. NEWAP-97. I've ordered this, but not seen it yet. The list of EMC standards at http://www2.echo.lu/nasd/ was out-of-date last I looked at it (last week). There's up-to-date EMC standards lists at http://www.rfi.co.uk/wwwrestricted/StdBull_OJ.htm and http://www.cix.co.uk/~approval/emcstan.htm These sites might also have the LVD standards listed (in case the http://www2.echo.lu/nasd/ LVD list is also out-of-date). Hope this is of some help.
