Hi.

Most of the IEC standards I've seen specify temperature, relative humidity
and barometric pressure limits for test conditions. Temperature and
humidity can easily be outside of the range stated if outdoors, but the
barometric pressure range seems fairly wide. 

I've been to a couple of test labs for type testing and not seen anything
to suggest they bother to measure the ambient conditions.

Is the general consensus that the barometric pressure has to be measured to
check if it is within the range specified, or is it safe to say that unless
you're about to be struck by a cyclone or tornado, the ambient conditions
will be within the range for barometric pressure?
