Dear Mr. Charles, Until 1st of July, 25 items of ITE equipment such as P.C., Monitor, keyboard, Printer, Power supply, Mother board, VGA card, ... categorized by the each product are subject to get EMI approval according to FCC part 15,18 test rules. >From the 1st of July, all of ITE equipment whic has any port to connect to the other products are subject to get EMI approval according to CISPR pub. 22 test rules. That means a lot more ITE products would be subject to get EMI Approval. For the Monitor and Printer, AC/DC adaptor are suject to get Safety Type Approval which takes at least 45days. Modem, DSU, Mux and any telecom products are suject to get Telecom type approval along with EMI approval which takes approxi. 30 days. Also wireless products are subject to get wireless type approval. So, only EMI Approval would be changed from the 1st of July, and the other approvals would be the same.
