I would like to encourage my emc-pstc product safety colleagues to consider presenting a product safety paper to the IEEE EMC Symposium under TC-8, Safety. In the field of product safety, we need to improve the level of both individual professionalism and the product safety profession in general. One way to help do this is by presenting papers at symposia such as the IEEE EMC Symposium. We need to move ourselves from being safety certification engineers to being product safety engineers. We need to understand the causes of injury and the means by which product construction can prevent injury. If you have a topic for presentation, I would be happy to offer consultation to assist you in any way.
