Another thought, you can sometimes sell these folks things as well. It
may help defray the cost of new stuff. Another outfit I have used
successfully is Telogy at 1 800935 6494. No commercial - their catalog
just happened to be sitting on my bookshelf with the phone number in
view, and I know they are still in existence.

Many years ago, during one of my previous incarnations, I used
to buy this
sort of thing from equipment rental companies. They often have
surplus
equipment that they are glad to get rid of at a reasonable
price.
Names that come to mind are Rental Electronics, Electro Rent,
Leasametrics,
GE Rentals. This was many years ago and I'm not sure if they
are still in
business, but it might be worth your while to search the
internet to see if
they have a web site.
BTW, I personally always preferred the 141T mainframe.
