Per CSA standard C22.2 No. 107.1 (General Use Power Supplies), Clause
4.18.10, only electrical grade paper may be used as an insulating material
barrier. UL 1012 (Power Supplies other than Class 2) allows for electrical
grade paper as well as thermoplastic and other polymeric materials.
I am wondering if thermoplastic (and polymeric materials) may also be used
in Canadian standards, and if so, where is it specified?
