Dear Compliance Members, Does anyone know of specific requirements to use stainless steel (sheet metal, mounting hardware) when designing metal enclosures for medical products. I have not seen any requirements in IEC 601, UL 2601. I notice many medical product enclosures are stainless steel and do not know if this is a "Rule of Thumb" or if there is some other driving force such as FDA, etc.
