Greetings, Thanks to all who have provided information on the metric directive. As I was researching this issue, I went back to the FAQ by Bill Lyons. What a great resource. However, I was not able to find the standard that would be used to comply with the directives. Could someone please forward the standard number that spells out the metric units of measurements?
BTW I sent an email to NIST (from the information supplied by this group) and here was Mr. McCracken's response: Mr. Russell, At this time no meeting is scheduled to discuss the EU metric-only directive. The EU technical staff has proposed a ten year delay of the directive. Until we know more on the subject a meeting is not warranted. We will continue to make information available.
