I read Sandy's question to refer to ancillary equipment sold as part of a
system, rather than "incorporated into a device". Where the EMC performance of
the combined system has been shown to meet the requirements, then it is not
necessary for each individual item to be C-Tick marked, providing the
Declaration of Conformity includes these items in the product definition. This
view has been confirmed verbally by the Australian authorities.

Section 3 lists general exclusions one of which says, "Where the assembly is
only to be supplied to a manufacturer of another device for the sole purpose
of it being incorporated into that device then there is no legal obligation
for an assembly to show conformity with a standard or carry the C-tick
Mark."

To all,
Does a power supply for use in Australia have to be individually C-Tick
marked.? If it were connected to another product that was C-Tick marked and
sold as part of that system (With a requisite C-Tick folder) would the power
supply still have to be individually C-tick marked. ?
Thanks in advance for any responses. Also want to thank previous
responders to other questions, appreciate the fact that people take time to
respond.
