Hi Mat,
One source for such information would be the Canadian "Consumer Packaging and Labelling Act". Its C-38 and cost about USD$5.00, if memory serves. As the name implies, it deals with product labeling, including languages. You can order it from the Canada Communication Group, tel: 819-956-4802. Or, it can also be downloaded off of the internet at: http://canada.justice.gc.ca/FTP/EN/Laws/Title/C/index.html (look for C-38) Start with Section 6, BILINGUAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXEMPTIONS. I'm sure you'll find what you need in there. However, as with all government documents, its filled with legalese. Please keep in mind that product marking is ultimately the manufacturer's responsibility. Is there a website that would have the legal documentation on it? Is it true that all product markings must be in french, and english to be sold in Quebec?
