To All:

I recently did an EMC EN 55024:1998, EN 55022:1998 and FCC Part 15 pre
approval testing. I used a golden Dell PC and tested it for EMC. The Dell PC
was labeled with CE and FCC Part 15 marking. Then I populate my IDSN PCI
card and tested for all the EMC directive and FCC Part 15. The good news is
that I passed the test. The question is that can I sell this PCI card with
any PC as host independent or do I have to test it on a multiple PC's such
as Compaq, IBM, HP, etc. to be able to claim the CE mark. What is the
liability PC manufacturer or PCI manufactures if this will be used on any
given PC. Is there anyone who has any experience with hardware (i.e. modems
and etc) that needed to be EMC approved as a host independent device within
a PC. I do appreciate your respomses in advance.
