My interpretation of prA14 that POS systems are considered professional equipment. To that effect, POS systems should be classified as Class A, given that clause 5 in prA14 under the Class A section states the following "Equipment not specified in one of the three other classes shall be considered as Class A equipment".

What is the definition of a personal computer used in the EN61000-3-2:1995/prA14:2000 document? Is the use of the term personal computer an exact description or is it being used to describe a overall class of equipment (i.e. : anything with a microprocessor or such)? Is there a standard which contains these precise definitions and what is it? I hope someone can help because I have been going round in circles as I can see it applying both ways.
