Dear Martin, Regarding the ROUTINE TESTS, since I assume that you are intending to test some LABORATORY EQUIPMENT, the Annex K of EN 61010 Standard is answering to your question: " to verify bonding of ACCESSIBLE conductive parts to the PROTECTIVE CONDUCTOR TERMINAL a test current is at the discretion of the manufacturer, which means that you may use any instrument (including an ohmmeter) for this purpose, which will apply a test current and will offer you the chance to display (calculate) the value of the impedance between the PROTECTIVE CONDUCTOR TERMINAL and the ACCESSIBLE part for which PROTECTIVE BONDING that should not exceed 0.1 ohm. In the above conditions, since the current is at the discretion of the manufacturer, (depending of the used instrument) the DURATION of the test shall respect the instructions provided by the manufacturer of the used instrument in order to obtain a "meaningful reading" (references should be made to EN 501116 Routine tests for ITE Equipment).
