Having played with phase based cancellation some, the true nature of the
problem is quite complex (pun intended). Using simple systems as Cortland has
mentioned, allows you to null a single phase path to the ambient.. Since I
tried this at an OATS in the mountains, it was a rather dismal failure. Almost
all signals had multipath reflections. CASSPER _claims_ to be able to decern
all of the phase fronts from a single reference antenna. I am insufficiently
clever to anticipated how that can be done.
