Safety minded folk, I am stumped finding chapter and verse on the following common sense ideas (i.e. in what part of which standard are the following issues addressed). Sometimes the simplest things are the hardest to find! Any corrections would be appreciated. I generally work in the realm of the NEC (NFPA 70), NFPA 79, EN 60204 and EN 61010-1 (aka UL3121). If you know of a related section in one of these I would appreciate the direction.
1. Unless explicitly stated otherwise in the manufacturer's documentation, it is only appropriate to apply one wire to one terminal on a commercial electrical device such as a contactor or circuit breaker. 2. For screw-terminal terminal strips, there should be no more than two ring or spade lugs, this includes jumper straps between barriers. Lauren E.
