I've never used wood within a fire enclosure, but have used it outside of the fire enclosure in EN60950 products. TUV has imposed the relevant flame tests of annex A. Our experience was that we could not meet A8 (substitute for HB), due to the thickness requirements of the samples, but could meet A1 (substitute for V1). Our results in all cases were dependent on the paint covering the wood. In one case, the paint would ignite in a manner judged to fail the test, but a clear coat over the paint yielded passing results.
