No problem - Ask WHO places it on the market?

YES SOMEONE must register BEFORE applying the C-TICK mark

If your contract requires you to supply the product WITH approval in place
then you must do it. If you client is badging the product and placing it on
the market then they MUST have their name on the approval.

Hence they can apply to the authority - alternatively (they can ask you to
apply and have them listed).

There are a lot of considerations - I am currently writing a newsletter on
this subject!

DESIGN CONTROL is the MAJOR issue.

Subject: Importing to Australia with a twist

Greetings all,
I have an unusual question. Say my company was to sell an IT product
to a North American or European client who then would place the product
in Australia. We meet all of the EMC & Safety requirements for
Australia and have documentation, but here is the difficulty:

Does my company need an agent/representative in Australia, or would our
client suffice for these purposes?

Also, do I need to register or otherwise apply with Australia before
applying the C-Tick mark? (I assume yes but have been unable to find
contact information)

Best Regards,
Dave Heald
