Patty,

The requirements are located in 29 CFR Part 1910 Subpart S. Go to
http://www.osha-slc.gov/OshStd_toc/OSHA_Std_toc_1910.html
<http://www.osha-slc.gov/OshStd_toc/OSHA_Std_toc_1910.html> for a table of
contents for part 1910. If you go down the list and click on 1910 Subpart S
it will take you to a page with all of the requirements. If you then click
on 1910.303 it will state that the equipment must be "approved". If you then
go back to the table of contents page and go to the bottom of the list and
click on 1910.339 - Definitions applicable to this subpart, it will take you
to the definitions page you will find a definition for "approved". In this
definition it talks about "acceptable". If you then look at the definition
of "acceptable" this is where it talks about NRTL approval.

Hope this helps.

Subject: CFR requirements for the workplace

Does anyone know the specific section of the CFR that refers to equipment at
the workplace (specifically computer or test equipment) being Listed by a
NRTL?
