An enclosure rated NEMA-7 is intended for use in Explosive atmospheres (read - big, heavy & VERY expensive). You would need to know the Class, Division & Group to select the correctly rated enclosure. This (more or less) corresponds to the European EEx Zone, CAT. and Group classification. See IEC-79-1A(part-1). Also see: directive 94/9/EC and EN 50014. More information would be required to correctly determine enclosure requirements. Keep in mind that there will be other requirements placed on your product for installation in a explosive atmosphere. Regards, Michael Taylor Colorado
