Mike, first of all, the use of harmonized standards is voluntary. You may
choose not to use them and find some other means to demonstrate compliance
with the essential requirements of the EMC Directive. If you choose to use
the harmonized standard, you must use the latest revision that provides the
presumption of conformity. What revision is that? It includes any and all
amendments that have a date of withdrawal (dow) that has expired. The dow
for A14 will not expire until 2004-01-01. You can find the dow in A14 and
you can also find the list of harmonized standards published in the OJ with
the dows listed. A new list was published this week.

Subject: A14 documentation

Good Afternoon,
Are all products under 16 Amps required to be tested to A 14 of 6100-3-2 and
6100-3-3? If so, where can I find the exact documentation that states this.
Thank you in advance.

Best Regards,
