No problem using an in-house lab. Just make sure it has any necessary accreditations and approvals and operates under an ISO 17025 quality plan. ISO 9000 doesn't make it in the laboratory world. Our labs are accredited by A2LA and others and there hasn't been any question about using their data.
Ensure that all test equipment used for measurements to mandatory standards (and others) is in current calibration. Use accredited calibration laboratories for this function. No shielded room needed for -4 and -5. I would recommend using one for -6. You are injecting RF current on to long wires and they will radiate signals. Hope this helps. Ghery S. What are the complications of self-declaration without an independent test lab being involved? Very Simply said the way I understand it: 1. You need calibrated test equipment and facilities to do the tests required for your product. 1.1. Except for Radiated Immunity and Emissions what calibration is required of a facility if any. 1.2. You will need a good Horizontal and Vertical ground plane for IEC 61000-4-4, -5, -6 but Shielded room not necessarily required. True? 2. Well-documented procedures and test reports Per ISO 9000 controls. I understand there is a lot said in the above but is there anything requiring an outside lab? Best regards, Terry J.
