Mr John Yes, I looked at the General Section of my FUS files; and did not find this verbage. I guess your agency engineer loves you more then mine loves me....
thanks much, Brian -----Original Message----- From: John Juhasz [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, April 19, 2002 5:47 AM To: 'Brian O'Connell'; [email protected] Subject: RE: Agency mark dims Brian, I can't help you with the TUV mark, but with reference to the UL mark, UL does offer some simple guidance in the Follow-Up Services procedure (if you have a UL listed product, then you should have an FUS procedure). The first paragraph says: "The Listing Mark consists of four elements placed in close proximity and shall appear on Listed products only Minimum size is not specified, as long as the Listing Mark is legible. . . . " Then about half way down the Listing Mark Data Page, you should find the following paragraph: "The minimum height of the registered trademark symbol ('R' in a circle, located under the 'U') shall be 3/64 of an inch. When the overall diameter of the UL mark is less than 3/8 of an inch, the trademark symbol may be omitted, if it is not legible to the naked eye." I hope this helps. GE Interlogix John A.
