Gentlemen Assuming a Win-Tel platform, I have found that both Excel and/or Access to be adequate for large databases that will not have more than (2) users. The caveat is that all embedded VBA source be mapped in a separate (formal) document, and that the Network Admin carefully controls privileges and provides routine back-up services. ISO and agency auditors have accepted tracibility provided by these methods.

If you only have a limited number, Excel is a very good tool.
