I accept that I NRTL safety approval is required, but can the local AHJ specify which NRTL is acceptable? Peter: Yes, the local AHJ can specify which NRTL would be acceptable to them. If you have a specific NRTL in mind, ask them for their accreditations in the various states and cities.
