This is a very grey area and without a confirmed RBOC customer such as Verizon , AT&T, etc. it is hard to make the next move without some serious reservations. Please contact me directly with the contact information for the person you referenced in your email. So I have to ask, in your scenario you described below, what did you end up doing? NEBS level 1, NEBS level 3, neither? The device I'm describing is for the residence but could have connections that go into the CO or Co-locator space. If one end of the cable modem goes into a CO or a co-locator's space I think you're out of luck and NEBS applies, either level 1 or 3 as defined by the various RBOC's, for homes - which I think have to be CPE locations then its the 80% answer I got. Hi Group, Our company wants to sell our Cable Modem to some of the major US carriers. Is anyone familiar with compliance requirements needed to meet their requirements? I'm aware they all have specific requirements so I would use Verizon and AT&T as a general reference. These modems are located in a residential environment so I'm curious if they would have to meet any of the NEBS or GR ??? requirements?
