Dear Colleagues,

I would like to know if anyone has experience in quieting an IDE interface
and if there are any good design guides.

Here is the scenario:

I have a system that has a HDD and DVD on the IDE interface. My system
clock runs at 54MHz and I am having problems in the 120-125MHz range (+3dB
over). I can suppress these frequencies by using a ferrite on the ribbon
cable by this is not an acceptable design. I need to go into another layout
spin with a solution to get at least 6dB attenuation. Radiation seems to be
coming from the point at which it leaves the motherboard.

I am going to go into the dirt to fix this, but I would like to know if
anyone has seen this before. Does anyone know of good termination schemes
for IDE or best place to put beads.

Anything is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
