The differences between these two standards is very little indeed. However, the 1998 version of the standard is hugely diferent to the 1994 version, with the introduction of telecoms port emissions being the major difference. Presently, the 1994 and 1998 versions co-exist, with the 1994 version expected to be dropped in mid 2003.
I know that I am not answering the question, but the 1987 version has been dead for years, and has no standing today.
