All We EMC test our Fixed Wireless Access Products to EN 301 489. This standard does not specify any surge testing of the antenna port.
Our basestation product uses an external antenna typically mounted on an Antenna tower. Assuming our customers makes the installations in accordance with BS6651 or ITU-T K.27, does anyone know what Surge voltage levels might I expect to see at the RF output of the indoor combiner shelf when there is a local lightning strike? thanks for your help regards Charlie Blackham Approvals Manager Airspan Communications Ltd
