I just got my certificate yesterday. In the long run, I think it'll help, but we have to start somewhere. Hopefully, having this type of program will start a process to which people expect a certain level of knowledge on product safety. Something analogous to someone having a bachelors, masters or Ph.D. There is a certain level of knowledge that one expects when someone has these degrees. (It is only a general statement and I am sure there are plenty of knowledgeable people who do not have degrees, that a smarter than those who do.) Good luck to all those who apply.
