John, There are not always technical deviations between IEC and EN standards, for instances there are no differences in the body of the standard between the latest versions of IEC 60825-1 and EN 60825-1. Of course, CENELEC standards have a Date of Withdrawal of conflicting standards which IEC standards do not.
