Relative to IEC61010-1 (UL61010-1) the overvoltage catagory (OVC) is based on the electrical distance/impedance from the noise sources. If a product in power distribution gear (e.g. low voltage gear for commercial building or industrial plant) is powered from a Control Power Transformer - is that enough to define the circuit as OVC2 or would you still consider it OVC3 and why?
