Does anyone know of equipment that can perform a gated measurement of a burst of 50 kHz, 1.5 ms duration with a 50 Hz rep rate.
The equipment that I currently have can perform gating with RBW greater than 1 kHz. I need to use an RBW of 200-300 Hz to determine characteristics of interest 1 kHz away from my 50 kHz signal. The setup time is not compatible with the RBW. Have I bumped into the laws of physics or the design limitation of the piece of equipment? I am currently working with an Agilent E7401A with gating option 1D6. Any experiences related to gated measurements would be appreciated.
