All,

There will be a Northeast Product Safety Society meeting tomorrow
Wednesday, April 28, at EMC Corporation's Customer Briefing Center in
Hopkinton, MA. A social hour with light refreshments will begin at 7:00
PM and the technical meeting will start at 7:30 PM. Duff Kirklewski,
Director of Harbinger Studios, will be presenting this month’s technical
topic concerning measurement and instrumentation of acoustic
environments including sound and vibration measurement solutions.
Following Mr. Kirklewski presentation, Andrew Kiley from GS3 will
provide a brief update on SEMI S2.

Duff Kirklewski is the Director of Harbinger Studios, which provides
sound and vibration instrumentation solutions as well as acoustical
consulting and recording services. Areas of acoustical consultation
include instrumentation and measurement training, community noise
assessment training, and product noise measurements. Prior to Harbinger
Studios, Duff was Field Applications Engineer at Brüel & Kjær and a
Senior Reliability Engineer for Raytheon. He has published papers on
Environmental Stress Screening and Solid State Transmitter Design and
lectured to various city and town authorities on community noise
assessment. He holds a B.S.E.E. from Southeastern Massachusetts
University (U. Mass. Dartmouth).

If you or anyone you know would like to give a product safety technical
presentation, please contact Paul Smith, our meeting scheduler, by email
at [email protected]. A technical presentation should be 45 to 60
minutes in duration and be related to product safety. Although the
presentation may reference your company and it’s services, the
presentation must not be simply company advertising. We would also
appreciate any slides or handout materials be made available for posting
on the NPSS web site. Releasing presentation materials for posting is
desired but not a requirement to make a presentation.
