Dave, You should instruct the person asking for the mark that they need to identify the applicable EU directive and the essential elements that are required. Of course there are no directives that exist for ICs. So, this person will then receive an education. Too often in the Compliance world we find ourselves defending a certain position when the person who making a demand has no basis for their position, only hearsay. My response has been that they are the ones that need to show proof of need. Have a great weekend, -doug Douglas E. Powell, Staff Engineer Corporate Compliance Dept. Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. The IC in question is a simple DRAM memory IC. These are on reels. Any good reasons pro and con? Thanks. Subject: CE Mark on components
Once again I have been asked whether the CE MARK can or should be
obtained for an integrated circuit. The IC in question is a simple DRAM
memory IC. These are on reels. Any good reasons pro and con? Thanks.
