David,
Have you established beyond a reasonable doubt that both failing
frequencies are cable related? If so, have you established that both of
them are directly coupled through the RJ45 connectors? The 1 GHz seems a
little high to be a direct cable radiated term. Is it possible that
there is coupling from a seam or other aperture to the cable?
Just curious.

Subject: Need PCB mounted RJ45 LAN connector with good EMI suppression
http://www.ieee-pses.org/symposium
http://www.emc2004.org/
Hello,
We are using 3 identical VME CPU cards in a particular product
and it's failing on the OATS, lucky me.
The additive contribution from the 3 identical boards, specifically
the RJ45 LAN connectors, is causing this particular product to fail
radiated emissions at 500 Mhz & 1 Ghz.
Can someone suggest a board mounted RJ45 connector (similar
to the Foxcon JFM2401 series) built with good EMI suppression?
Thanks!
