Rafael Actually, I don't believe you are correct in respect of equipment for ANIMAL CARE.
I have just checked on the BSI website, and the standard I was thinking of is: (BS) EN 60335-2-71:2003 Specification for safety of household and similar electrical appliances. Particular requirements for electrical heating appliances for breeding and rearing animals. In other words, there are at least TWO separate IEC/EN 60335-2-XX standards which could apply to equipment of this type according to its exact intended application. Hi Can anyone, offhand, identify a an applicable EN for LVD for this product: Infrared radiation heaters having 2 x 1500 watts quartz elements for outdoors and semi-outdoors use like beer gardens, patios, garden centres, piggeries, milk parlours, stables, poultry farms etc. The heaters use 220-240 volts AC and 50 Hertz frequency. We have looked through the LVD references and have not been able to identify an appropriate standard.
