John

When I was a BSI Committee Secretary some years ago, the IEC was going to
write a separate set of standards for farming applications (which was part of
my group of standards), but that series then got sub-sumed into the scope of
TC/61, so now look in the EN60335-2-X series (high numbers!)

Subject: EN LVD Standard for outdoor infrared radiation heater?

Hi

Can anyone, offhand, identify a an applicable EN for LVD for this product:

Infrared radiation heaters having 2 x 1500 watts quartz
elements for outdoors and semi-outdoors use like beer gardens, patios,
garden centres, piggeries, milk parlours, stables, poultry farms etc. The
heaters use 220-240 volts AC and 50 Hertz frequency.

We have looked through the LVD references and have not been able to identify
an appropriate standard.

Many thanks
